They're pony books for girls, but, from what I gathered, Cannan was one of the first writers in that field. As you say copies of their work are hard to come by, so it's great to see a detailed review on another of her stories. Maybe I'll get lucky at some point and score another reasonably priced copy of her work. However, some of those titles are thrillers and not detective stories. So keep that in mind when hunting down her work.
