You are totally spot in and it's wonderful blog of yours.
Cheers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5516189026477178777.post-89860544457040020852011-03-28T12:28:24.848+02:002011-03-28T12:28:24.848+02:00I've heard a lot of praise for McCloy lately, ...I've heard a lot of praise for McCloy lately, which prompted me to buy "Dance of Death" and "The Goblin Market" (titles chosen by reading John's blog). I'm a real sucker for theatre mysteries- if I enjoy the two books I have enough, it looks like I'll have another one to hunt down! But if a fellow actor enjoys the way the theatre is conveyed, I'm sure I have nothing to worry about. ;)Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01844617192737950378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5516189026477178777.post-86992442340158992192011-03-28T06:38:27.143+02:002011-03-28T06:38:27.143+02:00I like CUE FOR MURDER as the best of the theater m...I like CUE FOR MURDER as the best of the theater mysteries I've read. It's by Helen McCloy - my newest nominee for sainthood in American Detective Fiction Heaven. Having been a former actor in Chicago and elsewhere (did it for 15 years before throwing in the towel) I can tell you McCloy really understands the actor psyche and her ideas of how an actor would commit murder ring very true.

(I like that cover far more than the one for the US 1st edition.)J F Norrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06473487417479127354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5516189026477178777.post-79164290934018570432011-03-27T19:25:07.525+02:002011-03-27T19:25:07.525+02:00You uttering the word unfair is usually the harbin...You uttering the word unfair is usually the harbinger of another bookstore raid, but keep in mind, you can only read so much, so try to take it easy. It sounds like an excellent read that combines some of my favourite plot ideas: murder in a theatre with a hint of the supernatural, seasoned to perfection with good characters... Apologies- I haven't eaten anything yet today...

And I finally decided to join the GAD Yahoo group.Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01844617192737950378noreply@blogger.com
